Aaron Probyn

A young designer from Great Britain, Aaron Probyn values minimalism, modern innovation and exceptional quality in all of his designs. A graduate of the esteemed Product and Furniture Design program at Kingston University, Probyn accepted an offer at Habitat as a Table Top Design Manager. During his six years as a designer there, Probyn elevated the quality of design exponentially, bringing his department from a struggling plateau to second best in the whole company. Through his genius designs and tactics, Probyn sole-handedly increased department sales by over twenty-five percent in less than six years. Additionally, his designs helped Habitat cinch the award for the Elle Decoration Retailer of the Year in 2007. His success as a designer warranted Probyn the opportunity to design a range of products for Habitat’s 50th Design Reunion Collection in 2014, some of which are still best-selling products several years later. Probyn continues to partner with Habitat on designing lighting collections. Some of his other most noteworthy collaborations with retailers and designers such as Studio Conran, Plain English and Tom Dixon. Under the direction of the famed British designer Tom Dixon, Probyn earned the position of senior designer where he worked in both product and furniture design. Moving forward, Probyn extended his creative reach into designing interior spaces, including several fine dining establishments and restaurants in both London and Hong Kong. In recent years, Probyn has opened his own studios in both New York and London, where he has collaborated with large retailers such as West Elm and Normann Copenhagen. With a line of designs that are focused on life-long quality, Aaron Probyn’s products are both practical and pretty to the eye, sure to impress anyone who lays eyes on them.
