Introducing Indigo cushions, a linen piece within &Tradition's new home accessories line, &Tradition collect.
This high-quality linen cushions sits within &Tradition Collect, a curated line of beautifully crafted soft furnishing and home objects. Boasting a wide-ranging collection of classic and contemporary pieces, Danish design company &Tradition has announced its expansion into a collection of accessories that will further enhance the home.
Designed by Space Copenhagen, the Indigo cushion is individually hand-dipped in dye to achieve a fading effect. Crafted from 100% linen and Oeko-Tex certified, its softened, heavy fabric manages to be both understated yet exclusive. On the cushion's backside, there is a simple envelope closing with a hidden zipper. Inside, it is stuffed with feathers and down.
"The gentle gradient on the cushions, made from piece-dyed linen, holds an alluring quality that's reminiscent of natural phenomena," explain Space Copenhagen founders Signe Bindslev Henriksen and Peter Bundgaard Rützou of their inspiration. "Each cushion possesses a unique identity that brings a subtle pattern and vibrancy to any interior."
Space Copenhagen's commitment to quality and longevity is reflected in &Tradition Collect. The duo wanted to create a cohesive offering of home accessories that would bring folksy warmth into any interior. Focusing on cushions, throws, and planters, they selected earthy tones of burgundy, slate, and sand as their primary palette. An emphasis on natural textures, including linen and organic cotton, accentuated this luxuriously rustic aesthetic further.
"As architects, our work pivots around spatial composition and ambiance as we seek to create harmony in a space," Henriksen and Rützou add. "This collection of home accessories became a natural extension of that, an architectural fragment that softens and completes the atmosphere that we are always striving to create."
