Considered to be one of the most successful English industrial designers of the past few decades, Jasper Morrison strives to design and create understated, useful, and responsible products. Morrison graduated from Kingston Polytechnic in 1982 studying Design, and later attended the Royal College of Art for his postgraduate studies. Jasper Morrison is known for producing work with themes of elegance, practicality, comfort, and timelessness, as well as taking traditional, familiar shapes and re-working them into unique pieces. Morrison has held solo exhibitions in Tokyo at Axis Gallery, Yamagiwa, and HH Style, and has worked as a consultant with Muji, Samsung, Ideal Standard, and Established & Sons. He has also collaborated with Japanese designer Naoto Fukasawa on the ‘Super Normal’ exhibition at Axis Gallery in Tokyo, Japan where he tried to define the term ‘super normal’ in his work and challenged himself to question what ‘good design’ should be.
