Nicholai Wiig Hansen, born in 1964, is a self-taught Danish industrial designer. Nicholai has a different approach to design, all of his products are created for a specific purpose which is to meet his personal or friends’ design needs. At the age of 26, Nicholai Wiig Hansen established his design studio and, later, has created well-known products for Ikea and Normann Copenhagen. Nicholai’s timeless pieces satisfy the consumer’s needs yet does not include any design aspects that are not functional, such as the classic My Chair Collection for Normann Copenhagen.
