Hailing from Brittany, France, Ronan + Erwan Bouroullec, the pair of brothers grew up in a farming community yet both pursued an education in interior design. Both brothers at prestigious French universities, Ronan attended École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs in Paris and then later attended École Nationale Supérieure des Arts in Cergy, where Erwan attended himself a few years later. In 1999, Ronan + Erwan Bouroullec designs was born in the brothers’ joint studio in Paris, France. The Bouroullec brothers designs span from furniture to large scale art installations in museums such as the MoMa of New York and Centre Pompidou in Paris. Ronan + Erwan Bouroullec designs focus on modern lines, elevated artistry and superior craftsmanship. The Bouroullec brothers have been awarded several times for their designs, winning the Finn Juhl Prize in 2008, the Danish Design award in 2010 and Designer of the Year by Wallpaper magazine in 2016.
