The Danish architect and designer mastered the balance between the minimalist and the voluminous in designs that challenged conventions. A visionary modernist, Flemming Lassen created architecture and furniture that was ahead of their time.

The sofa was designed and put into production the same year as Flemming Lassen's iconic easy chair The Tired Man, which holds the record as the most expensive easy chair ever sold at auction in Denmark. The sofa accepted the challenge, and in 2018, it fetched DKK 610,000, making it the most expensive sofa ever sold at a Danish auction.
